About Us
“Almost Paradise” Fiji,
Set amongst 99 acres of unspoilt Ocean Front property, with jungle covered hills as the backdrop…..this is certainly “Almost Paradise”. It is a small, secluded, all-inclusive beachfront resort in the Fiji Islands offering kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, sailing, scuba diving, & plenty of rest and relaxation on the water’s edge.
The resort has just 4 bures (guest cottages) with a maximum of 12 people at any one time; so there are no crowd experiences at this resort.
There are no roads to the resort so access is by water only. We are a great place for honeymooners looking for a romantic getaway, a small group of friends, or anyone who just needs peace & quiet, surrounded by water, rainforest & birds singing.
Location
We are located in Sau Bay (short for Nasau ) on the eastern side of Vanua Levu in Fiji’s friendly Northern Island group, only a 15 +minute boat ride from Taveuni Island or 20 minute boat ride from Buca Bay on Vanua Levu.
The property comprises of 99 acres and most of it is still pristine rainforest, with Oceanfront onto Sau Bay; with massive old raintrees reaching out of the jungle towards the sun. We are just minutes away from the world-famous Rainbow Reef in the Somosomo Straits (Great White Wall, Annies Bommie, Jerry Jelly, Rainbows End; jus to name a few of the sites).
Accommodation
A total of four cottages (Bures)
Three Studio style, fan-cooled bures (guest cottages) each with ensuite, showers, tea/coffee making facilites, plus a double bed with single bed available. Optional air-conditioning available at additional cost . Each bure also has a front deck within a few steps of the Ocean.
One two room deluxe bure, fan cooled and with air-conditioned bure (cottage) with en suite, outdoor shower, tea/coffee making facilities. Queen bed in separate bedroom, private lounge is able to have two singles or a double bed should the extra beds be required also with a front deck within a few steps of the Ocean.
Dining & Entertainment
The resort has a bar and restaurant facility with meals served to order. Our staff will serenade guests during dinner and offer some ‘local’ hospitality in sharing a bowl of Kava!
Activities
Free activities include sailing, rowing, kayaking on individual sit-on-top "Ocean Kayak Frenzy", snorkeling, hiking, bush walks with wild guava, passionfruit, limes, & other tropical fruit to pick. There are many tropical birds and fruit bats in the area. Lie in your own personal hammock and let the quiet and serenity soothe you!
Activities available for a fee include scuba diving on the world-famous Rainbow Reef (home to the awesome Great White Wall, Annie's Bommies, Rainbows End and other sites). There is also hand line fishing, rod/reel fishing, snorkeling at Rainbow Reef and other selected boat destinations. Visits to neighbouring islands to local villages, or just island hopping and shell collecting on uninhabited beaches. A day excursion to Taveuni to visit the water slide, Catholic Mission or the World Heritage Bouma Waterfalls and Lavena Coastal Hike.
Yes there is Internet access at a nominal charge.

• 1 Deluxe bure — one bedroom with en suite bathroom, hot shower and outdoor rock shower, lounge ( can convert to sleep two people), large deck in front & back, complete solar system for electricity.
• Restaurant /Bar and Office — very large deck for dining overlooking the Ocean.
• diesel generator, wired to supply inverter for battery charging capability, supplies electricity to all buildings
• 24' Aluminum boat — bimini top, center console, dry storage boxes and 60 hp 4-strokeYamaha outboard
• Sailboat/Kayak rack — 4 Ocean Kayak Frenzys; 4 Walker Bay sail boats 8’
